We became members of the Academy of Sciences, and took Ananya to see the albino alligator and all the fish in the acquarium. Cheryl and Connor joined in on the fun, too!
Our daughter's name is Ananya Sarada Goel. Here's how you pronounce it: Ananya (uh-NUN-ya) Sarada (SHA-ra-dha) Goel.
Ananya means "without a peer, unique, matchless, extraordinary." Sarada was the name of Aditi's grandmother, who lived with Aditi's family and who had a huge impact on her life.
